Laura's First Steps

Our sweet baby Laura is officially walking. It started a few weeks ago, not even a year old at the time. She started with the onsey, twosey weeble wobble baby steps that was just adorable. When each one started to walk it started the same way and we just seem to get so caught up in their little world of learning and wonder. It's so precious to see their little faces light up when they really start to get it and realize what they are doing. They just look and feel so big. Although, to me Laura just still looks like such a baby so it's unreal to me that she's walking. When she was first starting it was the times I'd pull the camera out or want her to walk that she'd get funny and stubborn and wouldn't stay standing long enough, but little by little she's been getting good enough to capture the moments. She's offcially a year old now and offically walking. She's all over the place and now walks more than she crawls. Unless she wants to get to something really fast then she'll resort to crawling, but other than that she's in the big time now. You can just tell that she is so happy with her accomplishment and so proud of herself by the little looks on her face. Oh baby girl! Where does the time go.....you were the one that was suppose to stay little forever......

They are not in any certain order. For some reason I couldn't change them once I put them on like normal. I still haven't worked on Christmas or Laura's birthday.....or.....anything else......., but Gramma Cathy was on me to get the walking pictures up. For heavens sakes.......I get it though. I'd be the same way, but she doesn't have 3 kids hanging on her asking for candy and "can I do this and can I do that" while I'm trying to organize and post. Probably why I've been slacking HA!!! Whew! I did it though......Christmas and the rest will have to wait for another time.......I guess it's my fault though, I told them we'd go spend their walmart gift cards today that they got for christmas and now they've all of a sudden got ants in their pants. Who's to blame them. I told them when Laura woke up we'd go so they both went and are sitting by her bedroom door waiting for her to wake up and now I've just been informed that she's up and we can go now. Hmmm......did they wake her?

Decorating for Christmas

Getting ready to unpack the tree. Way to be picking your nose Alayna!
Alayna was being silly marching around with one of the tree branches
Helping daddy assemble
I don't know what happened, but in the middle of it Bradley yells "WRESTLE DADDY!" So off they go and anytime they wrestle Laura has to be right in the middle of it grunting just like the other two. It's too cute!

After these two wanted to go and decorate the little tree in the other room together. It was so sweet. They didn't know I was watching them.

Laura was really into the fiber optic lights on the gingerbread house.
We are in full swing in the Christmas spirit with the tree up, the house decorated, Christmas music going and the stockings all hung from the chimney with care. Can't believe Christmas is already upon us, but we're excited and in the mood. Our family is complete with baby Laura here this year to enjoy. Last year we were anticipating her arrival and came one day after, but now she's already almost a year old. So hard to believe! This year we are really trying to focus the kids on the real meaning of Christmas and to have the spirit of giving. They are still little and it's so exciting for them to imagine what they'll get and that's fun and ok too, but want them to understand the real meaning too.

Williamsburg

We took annual tradtional trip to Williamsburg this weekend. We decided to dress the kids up and wing it with realistic expectations. They all did great and we lasted the whole day just tootling around Williamsburg. We love going to Yankee Candle Village to see Santa and get Christmas pictures. It's just a magical little village type place that sort of leave the kids wide eyed with wonder as they look around at everything. They have a little toy shop, candy shop, a room that is dark with stars on the ceiling to give a night time feel and every so often fake snow falls from the ceiling. The whole place is decked out for Christmas. We then went to the Christmas Mouse so the kids would pick out their Christmas ornaments. This was Alaynas first year to pick hers out. She picked out a my little pony one with no surprise to us and Bradley picked out one with 3 basketballs hanging from it. He's really wanting to get into basketball this year so he was very proud of his pick. We then went to Merchants square which is downtown Williamsburg and as we walked onto the main street there was Santa walking the streets talking to people. Bradley sort of questioned how he could be in two different places at once, but explained he needs lots of Santa helpers with so much to be done and so many kids:) We took a break for some coffee and it was getting dark so we went to leave and just getting started was a little play in the street. It was a neat little stage set up with 2 characters playing many roles in The Christmas Carol. It was very funny and entertaining. It was the perfect end to a special family day. It's neat starting little traditions the kids look forward to in the years to come.

Hmmmm......what's in here? Nosy little kids!!
My little apple dumplin looking for something.

Catching snowflakes
Looking at all the christmas villiages set up.
The kids always enjoy the puzzle table in the toy store. Laura just liked to eat them.

I want a pink twirly dress is what she told Santa.

Bradley being silly!

Looking for the wishbone

We had a nice Thanksgiving.......Gramma and Grandpa Boscoe came to visit. Didn't get many pictures, but here's Gramma and the kids looking for the wishbone. They thought that was neat! I remember as a kid being at my Grammas and thinking the same thing. Two of us would grab an end and make a wish. Bradley's is still letting his dry out in the window sill so it will break really good. He's still thinking what his wish will be.
They found it!

A Beach Day with Gramma

It was the most gorgeous November beach day so we took gramma to the beach and just goofed off. Just a little bit:)

It was fun watching these two interact and pose. They were hamming it up all on their own.

Mommy and her girls

Daddy and his baby....so sweet!

Me and my mommie
Gramma and the babes

They had a blast running and jumping off the the sand bar
Gramma won the contest for the highest jump

Cartwheel contest

What is this icky squishy stuff anyway?

Laura was crawling towards the water, but still far away and Alayna was in the protective mood and was saying "oh no momma, Laura's gonna sink" and I said she'd be ok, but she took it upon herself to carry her to safety.
Gramma and Laura

Gramma Dennice gave Bradley a metal detector so him and gramma Cathy were excited to give it a try. It kept beeping and we would try to find the treasure, but didn't have any success.
